The GARTNER group with its headquarters in Lambach/Upper Austria as well as branches, subsidiaries and affiliated enterprises in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Spain, France Belgium, Greece and the Czeck Republic, is the leading transport company in Austria. The enterprise was established over 80 years ago and is 100% family owned.
The GARTNER group employs approximately 2,200 people throughout Europe (with around 1,300 in Austria) and generated a consolidated turnover of approximately € 400 million during the last financial year.
The experiences over the past decades and the strong focus on customers' requirements have enabled GARTNER to maintain constant growth. The enterprise operates partially national, but predominantly in the international road haulage, principally with its own truck fleet which comprises approximately 1,600 tractor units and around 2,000 trailers with a strong emphasis on modern environmentally-friendly vehicles.
Since 2003 GARTNER is also represented in the unaccompanied combined road-rail transport with rapidly increasing traffic volumes. This business sector was first established out of the commuting between the new container terminal in Lambach (AUT) and Thessaloniki (GR) and is mainly carried out by its own complete container trains. Currently the container train network includes Greece, Romania, Turkey and more recently Germany. With this expansion GARTNER shifts yearly around 30.000 truck loads from road to rail which let also benefit the environment.
