The all-round holiday care package enters its third round

In summer, working parents always find themselves in a situation where they have difficulty balancing their work life and childcare needs. What are the children supposed to do for nine weeks when school and kindergarten are closed?

School holidays are important for children as they provide a well-earned break from the daily routine and the demands of school. They also give families the opportunity to spend time together and do things that they enjoy. However, employees’ annual leave entitlement does not match the school holidays and, for working parents, the summer holiday period can be exhausting, stressful and expensive. As a family-friendly company, we understand these issues and do our best to support our employees who have children, and to take some of this burden off their shoulders.

It is not only important to us that the summer holiday weeks are no longer a headache for parents (so that they can concentrate on their everyday work), we also aim to create interesting and eventful activities for children. This year, the programme consisted of the four following organisers: the “Waldkindergarten Naturkinder Gunskirchen” (forest kindergarten), the “Krienerhof” (school on the farm), the “Horse Training Center Hellmayr” and the “Life Camp Hinterstoder”. The holiday programme was aimed at different age groups from 3 to 15 years. Special attention was paid to the location of these organisers so that parents could easily bring their children to the chosen organiser on their way to work and pick them up after the working day was done.

True to the motto “Playfully experience and discover nature”, children spent a week in a forest located on the floodplains in Gunskirchen/Edt, where they explored nature and got to know the inhabitants of the forest and, afterwards, were able to bring home many new experiences and adventures.

During the week at Kriener Hof, the children were able to explore every corner of the farm in a fun and playful way. One special highlight was coming into contact with a wide variety of animals: from pigs, chickens, free-range ducks and pygmy goats, to cats, rabbits and much more.

As every year, the HTC Hellmayr riding camp made the children’s eyes sparkle! This riding week has been a key fixture in our annual holiday programme for a while – in addition to riding beginners taking part, some children have already become experienced equestrians after taking part in previous camps. In addition to the practical lessons, the children received important theoretical knowledge about equestrian care, the equipment involved and proper riding technique.

This year, the Lifecamp Hinterstoder offered a week full of unforgettable entertainment: Under the 24-hour supervision of professional trainers, the children could practice archery, go on mountain bike tours, complete the high ropes course and make friends with other camp participants during the team games and activities.

Within the programme’s framework, every provider offers all-round care and also takes good care of all the children’s needs – including lunch. Parents don’t have to worry about organisational matters and details, as we handle all communication with the organisers. We are delighted to be able to organise wonderful summer holidays for our “Gartner” children and to create the best possible conditions for our employees to combine children and career without the stress factor!
