Gartner: Setting the standard in continental container transport

Container transport is one of the most flexible and fastest ways of transporting goods internationally. The standardised containers, available in various sizes and types, not only offer plenty of space for products and goods of all kinds, they are also easy and safe to transport and can be used effectively for various requirements.

In contrast to regular box/curtainside semi-trailers, goods transported by container no longer have to be reloaded when changing to another mode of transport, for example from ship or train to truck. They can simply remain in the container, which is transferred directly to the respective means of transport using a handling crane or container forklift. This not only saves time but also costs and space, as ISO containers can be stacked several times.

On the road and on rail: Intermodal container transports with Gartner

Our advantage: With our own intermodal hubs, we ensure the greatest possible flexibility and use exactly the means of transport that is best suited to the individual transport order in question. For transporting containers by road, we keep roughly 300 of our own skeletal trailers in stock. Our fleet of skeletal trailers with locking devices for ISO containers is available at our headquarters in Lambach and at other intermodal hubs. From these locations, it is also possible to quickly load the containers onto rail freight traffic.
